AS Roma enters eSports in collaboration with Fnatic

Valencia, Schalke 04, PSG, Wolfsburg, Manchester City … the list of world class football clubs that decide to bet on electronic sports is growing for weeks.

AS Roma is one of the most recognised clubs in Europe and worldwide, and will start this new adventure in the hands of Fnatic and for the moment with only a division focused on FIFA.

Interest in FIFA competitions has increased in recent times, we only have to see the creation of the VFO here in Spain in which many football clubs participate, and is the closest foray for those less accustomed to the competitions of ESports, since it is the videogame better known by the majority of the general public

Three players are chosen for this new project that will be managed by Fnatic, which will also offer all training facilities to players. The three esports players are:

Aman ‘Aman’ Seddiqi: 22 years and considered one of the best players in North America.

Nicola ‘Insa’ Mirra: Italian, 21, has won more tournaments in the last three years than any other Italian player.

Sam ‘Poacher’ Carmody: English, 17 years old and FIFA top16 17 eSports World Convention.

AS Roma president Jim Pallotta said:

“As one of the most digitally connected teams, we have managed to create a new connection with our fans through digital media. This agreement will allow us to start building a strong legacy in esports and engage with our fans in a new and exciting way.”
