Games modes for betting on in Counter-Strike: Global Offensive

Once you are ready to place a bet on CS:GO there are five game modes to look out for. We explore the various Counter-Strike: GO scenarios below.

The bomb scenario

Terrorists must aim to plant C4 explosives at one of two designated bomb sites and protect it until its countdown finishes and detonates. Either this or eliminate all the players in the counter-terrorist team. Counter-terrorists must move to stop the terrorists, defuse the bomb or eliminate all the players in terrorist team.

The hostage scenario

The Counter-Terrorists must rescue hostages and bring them to safety from the Terrorists by bringing them to an extraction point. Naturally the Terrorists must prevent the hostages from escaping. There are severe cash penalties for a terrorist or Counter-Terrorist if they attempt to kill hostages. On the pro level teams play best of 30 rounds.

Arms Race

This is a no holes barred death match with no time limit. The aim of arms race game is for teams is to carry out a final kill with the final weapon on the list – the gold knife. Other weapons which feature in the arms race are:

  • 3 SMGs
  • 4 Rifles
  • 4 Pistols
  • 2 Shotguns
  • 2 Sniper Rifles
  • 1 Machine Gun

The goal of this scenario is simple and quite similar to the bomb scenario which also requires one of the team to detonate the bomb site. This is a round-based mode that removes weapon and equipment purchasing. Instead, players must play with a predetermined set of weapons. This game mode is favoured more by players who enjoy overcoming the challenges associated with wielding less desirable weapons.

Death match (added on November 12, 2012)

A game mode which consists of 10 minute matches. Players aim for the highest possible score by earning points through kills and assists. Different players desire different weapons of choice. The number of points earned per kill varies per weapon. For example a kill with a knife will earn a team extra points.
